Constant session reset on mobile

This seem to be a new observation and I wonder if anything has changed on the Lithium side.

I have a relatively long bus commute and I use it to browse the forum. Typically, on first login, it starts with the mobile version, where I log in and switch to the full version (my phone screen has good resolution).

Since a few days, it seems that whenever my connection switches to a new cell tower (maybe?), it (1) logs me out of the forum and (2) it resets the browser to the mobile version. Until recently, this never happened and I was typically able to keep the same session during the entire trip.

Is there an explanation?
