Very cute, but it does not work on my PC unless I add an "initialize mouse".
(Without it, I get a big error dialog.)

Here's the corrected version that works for me.
(Interestingly, after it works once, I can delete the added node and it continues to work...)

A use variation:
Place the diagram and front panel as far away as possible (e.g. diagram in the upper left corner of the screen and front panel in the lower right corner of your screen.)
Now press the run button on the diagram. 🙂

Until the end of this month there is a very nice Claude Shannon exhibition "Codes and clowns" in Paderborn/Germany.
Take a look at that video: http://en.hnf.de/Special_exhibitions/Shannon/Video/Video.asp
I hope I get the chance to visit it this weeekend.

Yes the Initialize Mouse was an unintended deletion and since I don't often use Close Input Device I guess it just keeps working so I didn't catch it.
I tend to use the diagram button like you suggested or Ctrl-R. I thought about having the cursor move through a complex path even from run button to stop button, but this is more of a history lesson than anything else.
Edit: Add LV8.0 version.
