New quarter at school

I guess an new quarter is starting at schools, a sudden influx of "Basic Stamp" comm questions.   More ethical dilemas I guess. After fighting with the problems here at work all day I may just write them a program with queues, event structures, ActiveX, etc., and see how that is received!  Smiley Mad   Just kidding!

Another round of LV Student installation issues and another task that keeps popping up is measuring temperature control a heater. Sounds like a good fuzzy logic application.

I wish LabView was part of my college curricula, but it did not exist 20 years ago. I guess that means I'm old (not really, but definitely greying and balding)

Well, they are celebrating the 20th anniversary of LabVIEW next year. Of course, when I started college at the University of Texas (Austin), NI had yet to be founded! I was programming in Fortran IV, thinking it was really cool when I found the room with the teletype, so now I could debug my programs in "real time" rather than submitting my tray of punched cards and waiting for my printout to find out that I had misplaced a period! Sure like LabVIEW a lot better!

Well I must say that LV had a real impact on me in school.  3 classes of it and my senior design project.. The only problem was that I was learning C++ and Assembly at the same time.  Looking back though I could of really used the dev zone to help my obsessive use of sequence structures...    So if you see anyone that needs to use a state machine, please help them break my first bad LV habit  🙂   GO PSU!!!
