Hi,
What if you clean up all broken wires, does the behaviour still exists? (Ctrl+B). I can find nothing that relates to this issue being seen before so an example that produces this behaviour would be appreciated.

Sorry for delay in reply but been out of office.
I will try to cut down the routine that I have been working on and post for you to have a look at later today. I have only noticed the problem on laptop and not on my main dev PC.
If I select 'clear all broken wires' from the drop down menu that seemed to work fine, but if I remove say a Nand gate or vi and then manually delete each broken wire, as the last wire is deleted the screen flips to the front panel.

I can confirm I have seen that same issue with actions in the diagram result in showing the FP. I can't describe the circumstances and since I am currently re-working a LV 6.1 app, chances are I'll forget about this issue before I get back to LV 8.5.
But I can confirm that the switching the the FP is happening (for what that's worth).

Well here is one scenario where it switches to the FP.
In LV 7.1 create new VI and drop a string control.
Switch to BD and pop-and select properties.
You can change properties (tried Disabled and Greyed out) and closing the properties screen returns to the BD.
If you try the same in LV 8.5, as soon as you select the properties, the FP becomes active.
I think I have this under other circumstance as well.

Hi Ben,
Thanks for that, I've just confirmed this under 8.5.1 and will create a Corrective Action Request for the issue, I will let you know what the ID of this CAR is so you can track it when you wish do.

Rob,
check 42910 to see if this is the same.

Hi Ben,
Thanks it looks similar, although that now shows in our system as fixed and closed so I believe the issue lies elsewhere - I will create a new CAR as I'm unable to find one that exists and is in work, worst case it will be linked to an existing CAR.

Hi,
I have added this to our Corrective Action Request database as item #113598 where it will be looked at for a future release fix, thanks for reporting this to us and in giving details of how to reproduce the issue.
All the best,
