Hi!
   Tags are keywords set by users, to help identificate what post is about.  For example, when youre looking for a picture on flicker, you can get help from tags, here's an example.  The greater the case, the grater the number of "tagged items". But it's better to try, to understand it!

  However, I don't understand HOW to use TAGS in NI FORUMS! I can't get TAGS options displayed.... I've seen gelp pages, unsuccessfuly...

  Is this a further bug of new NI forums?

I looked at the Help, regarding How to Tag, and I think they forget to add or enable some control to add Tags

Unfortunately, TAG area on the right side reduce space in my browser window!!!! Consider that I'm using a Laptop (15.4" LCD)

I agree.  It's taking about a 1/3 of the browser window width on my PC.  I definitely see no need to display the top taggers.  At this point, I'd rather see the tags list either at the bottom of the screen or accessible via a link instead.

Hi all,

It seems we had a problem overnight resulting in you seeing this feature early.  It is now turned on and I've announced it here.  However, our initial plan was to first give the feature to Forum Enthusiasts and LabVIEW Champions and in a few weeks to give it to people with Active status.  I'm glad to see that you are excited about this feature, so if you are Active and think you might like to use this feature sooner, please post and let me know.

P.S. - I'm glad you agree with my decision to put the tag cloud at the bottom of the page!  I also thought it looked ridiculous on the right hand side.

Hi Laura!
   To be honest, I think it can be a good idea to let TAGs to Proven Enthusiasts, and Champions.  At the end, it is not so difficult to become "Active", while I'd like to use tags feeded by Enthusiasts.

   A great improvement, anyway, would be to sweep away Tag area on the right, and put it on the bottom this is not because I consider them useless, it's for readability of HTML pages... also flickr has vertical layout with TAGs, and it seems a good solution.

Suggestion:  How about moving the blue TAG button onto the message title bar or somewhere not as...  (looking for better word than "visible"... "obvious??"???).  Did someone mention that already??  😉
