hi,my question is how to contact the gateway and the wap wirelessly I have the ni9792 and the ni WAP-3701 and some nodes.i just want to transport the signal to computer wirelessly.

Hello qdwx724,

The 9792 and nodes use zigbee and 802.15.4 as their wireless protocal and can only talk to its nodes wirelessly.The WAP-3701 uses 802.11 b/g as its wireless protocal so it can only talk to other 802.11 devices. 

You cannot connect the two protocals together wirelessly. What you can do though is make the 3701 a client to another 802.11 router or bridge and then wire with ethernet the 3701 to a 9792. Then you can get all the data from the 9792 onto a network.
