December 2024 SLUG meeting

Thank you everyone who was able to make it to the meeting last night, and I again apologize for not being able to set up a broadcast for it.  I did an informal poll at the meeting to determine when the next one should be, and it sounded like the consensus was for early (within the first two weeks of) December. I have one presenter lined up, and am working with Elijah Kerry from NI on having an NI representative available to talk about the NI roadmap over the next few years.

Fresh Consulting plans on hosting the next meeting, and I plan on doing a lot more to get the word out so that we can (hopefully) have more people present and able to learn! The address, again, is:

14725 SE 36th St
#300
Bellevue, WA 98006

I was informed that not everyone received the email notifying about the latest meeting, I intend to reduce the number of recipients I send to at once (so as not to be caught in the spam filter), as well as posting on LinkedIn, the LabVIEW Discord server and r/LabVIEW on Reddit once we have a firm date for the next meeting. Any other suggestions to get the word out are appreciated!

It looks like the next meeting will be December 12th. Look for the email, coming soon!

I'm still trying to work with NI to get a representative to present the NI roadmap, but barring that, I will present on a tool I'm not sure many people know exists!

Watch this thread for webinar link as the date gets closer: I've been assured by our AV folks at Fresh that they will be able to support this meeting!

Thanks,

-Chris Collier

I have added registrations (remote and in person) for this event to the forum main page. Those will be updated to reflect registrations for the next meeting shortly after each meeting occurs.

Here is the link for the remote attendees. You should have received it if you signed up, but in case you were unable to, I'm sharing it here:

Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight!

The form to request points for attending is here

Thanks again to Stuart Wilson and Elijah Kerry for presenting!

I'm going to try to set the next meeting up for March timeframe (unless there is major community push for another time). Look forward to seeing you then!

I filled out the form.  Kinda annoying in that it required me to fill in every field even ones that should be optional.  Also, it asked for a certificate of attendance file or email.  I just used the one from the forums for the update to this thread.  Who knows if it accepted it.

NI today (12/17/2024) said they hadn't received the attendee list yet.
