Hi.
I have an HP e1430a A/D, which worked fine in text mode under LabVIEW with the HP 1406A GPIB/VXI command module. Unfortunately, GPIB was too slow for my application, so I bought NI 8345 PCI/VXI. What I did not realise at the time was that e1430a is a register-based device and its SCPI is supported by certain drivers uploaded into the command module. Obviously the drivers do not work with the new controller.
Now, there is a set of LabVIEW routines for HP e1437a, which is very similar to e1430a (except for the faster sampling rate). The problem is that the device response to the id query built into a DLL is wrong and I can't do anything about it.
Is there a way around this - make e1430a pretend to be e1437a? Or ultimately, is there a proper set of SCPI drivers for e1430a?
Many thanks.
Alexander
