NI Community Content Archiving Policy

To provide the best experience to our users, we want to ensure the freshest and most used content is easily found. In order to do this, we occasionally audit and archive content within the community.

Archiving Posts
Individual posts are archived on an as needed basis. To request a post be archived, please use the "Report to Moderator" function found within the Options menu of the post.
Per the User Guidelines, we will remove content that is considered private and confidential when a user makes such a request. However, when the content does not fall into that category, we typically refrain from removing it. We want to ensure that valuable content is preserved in case it is useful to other user's in the future. Also, the other community users that have participated in the topic will still receive credit for their posts, kudos, or solutions.


Archiving Topics
Some forum boards within the community will have the topics within archived on a pre-defined, continuous basis. Some content will be moved to a private archive, while others will still have the content available in a read-only archive. Example of these types of boards include Version Conversion, LabVIEW Job Openings, and LabVIEW Developers Seeking Employment.

Archiving User Groups
Twice a year, all users groups within the community will be audited. During the audit, we will measure the activity, membership, and traffic within each user group. User groups that do not meet the defined criteria will be moved to the More Groups category to further measure performance. If a user group is deemed completely inactive (no new posts and no new members for 1 year), it will be moved to a private archive. If you are the owner of a user group that will be archived, you will receive an email from the NI Community team prior to any action being taken. If an archived user group needs to be reactivated, please contact the NI Community team.


Archiving Blogs
Every quarter, all blogs within the community will be audited to ensure the blog is meeting its post goal per the NI Community Blog Policies. Blogs that do not meet the defined criteria may be archived. If your blog meets the criteria to be archived, you will receive an email from the NI Community team prior to any action being taken.
If an archived blog needs to be reactivated, please contact the NI Community team.
