How to pass the selected item value to Tag on SystemLink Dashboard?

I have a radio Button group like this. 
Item: Radio 1 - Value: Value 1

Item: Radio 2 - Value: Value 2

Item: Radio 3 - Value: Value 3

When I run the Dashboard, I would like to pass the selected Item value to a Tag. I try to bind the "Item value"  field (on the right side) to a Tag with data type is STRING. However, when I run the dashboard and select an item, it does not pass the item value to the tag. 

Please show me how to do that. Thank you in advance.

Did you figure out how to do this?  I have the same problem.
