PC connection to NI Switches

      I just wanted to know if there is way to connect the NI switches directly to the PC without having to use the NI chassis?

Hi!

All of our NI switches are PXI/SCXI boards and are meant to be used with a chassis because of power requirements and regulations. So there is no way of connecting the switch directly to the PC.

Hi

You need to use PXI/SCXI chassis, but you can also use MXI, so you will see PXI switch as PCI card in you computer.
