I'm copying some of the questions I've gotten from technical support. They have questioned my application, but do not know why the PCI card will work in my Dell Linux Workstation, but not in my 20 slot PCI workstation. They have the same Operating System, the only difference we see is the PCI bus controllers. The 20 slot PCI workstation has two external bus controllers.
In the boot-up messages, it locks up after the it calls nisrcdk process. Anyone know what that process does?

No. We were looking at the NI PCI - 5421 because of its flexibility in supplying low frequency to avionics.

It works in a singular PCI bus machine. Dell desktop or the like.

It hasn't worked in two separate slot machines.
1) An Aberdeen 20 slot PCI machine
2) An Axiom 20 slot PCI machine
OS for both Red Hat Linux 2.4 Kernel, works on Dell PC, but not on the 20 slot PCI machines.
Some more information. On these twenty slot machines, there is multiple busses.
Slots 1 - 2 (Primary PCI): Single Board Computer Slots 3 - 11 (1 Secondary PCI): One external PCI Controller Slots 12 - 20 (2 Secondary PCI): Second external PCI Controller
Let me know if these multiple controllers could be causing the problems.
I'm not up to speed on specific issues with multiple PCI controllers.
