The first test you can do is inside the Measurement and Automation Explorer software. After you install your board, if you go under devices and interfaces,right click at your board and chose Properties, you can test the resources of your board by clicking at the test resources option.
If your board pass the resource test, you can run a small sample program which is shipped with NI-DAQ (if you want to use a different language than Labview to program your board) or if you are using Labview, there are some example VIs you can use to test the basic functionalities of your board.
