is there protection on the excitation channels of the scxi-1540

Hi All,

Is there any protection built into the circuitry of the SCXI-1540 so that if the primary winding of an LVDT short circuits then the excitation from the 1540 will not be  destroyed.

Hi Frank,

The SCXI-1540 is supplying the excitation, thus the same amount of excitation is provided by the module even if the LVDT shorts.  No additional current should be drawn.  Hopefully this helps!
