can't access data from lookout server

Hello,
 
I am in the process of configuring my SCXI chassis and modules in MAX. As I
 
would have a non-NI application getting data from it, all channels and data
 
must be operational in the Lookout OPC Server. I am using DAQ-mx 8.7.1 for
this....
 
I've just finished set up a bunch of NI-DAQmx Global Virtual Channels and
about
to see what I get inside the Server Explorer 2.4.1.
 
Unfortunately I've done the following steps and unable to read any channels
 
inside the Server Explorer. Would you be able to read the below and see if
there's anything I might have missed???
 
1. In Server Explorer 2.4.1., Under My Computer -> LookoutOPCServer, I
connect
this server and the traffic light on the left of it turned green.
 
2. Then I created a group called Gr1 using the following settings:
 
- Group Name = Gr1
- Update Rate = 1000 msec
- 0% Deadband
- 0 Time Bias
- Checked Yes on Timestamps and Active boxes
- Interface Selection = OPC2
- Clicked Add once to move the Gr1 to the Groups box
 
3. Then I right-clicked on Gr1 and choose Add/Edit Items
 
4. I expanded my computer's name and I can only click on System. I think I
am
supposed to see Daq-mx under the System at this time but I am not seeing it
at
all.
 
5. As a result, I cannot see my Global Virtual Channels at all in Server
Explorer.
 
6. My SCXI remained on and connected to my PC at all times. I've tried
re-booting and resetting the chassis and modules but still no progress.....
