TriStaff is partnering with this industry leader in consumer connectivity devices. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic expert in RF Test Engineering to join our team. The Test Engineer will develop procedures, methods and tools for test, verification and certification of the Company’s products. Validate testing activities and results of manufacturing equipment; participate in design verification of new equipment and in preparing product compliance documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop procedures and tools for test, calibration and verification of the equipment / Product, in cooperation with the Design Engineers.
- Ensure the equipment / product is properly tested, calibrated and certified according to the corresponding procedures.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis when repetitive failure of Company’s products occur, or failure under warranty.
- Ensure accurate document, record and archive measurement data pertaining to product parameters and process control performance.
Requirements and Experience
- BA in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Master Degree is preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience in testing electronic boards, modules (ability to debug to component level
- Proven track record (5+ years) in bench level (rack and stack) RF test development
- Demonstrated knowledge of Labview, implementation of test equipment control, measurement through various communication interfaces.
- Proficient in the use of the C or C++ programming language.
- Familiarity with “Producer-Consumer” software model a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in debugging SPI and I2C interfaces.
- Familiarity with test development of Gain, RSSI, THD, Spurious Emissions, Isolation and absolute power measurements, etc.,
- Familiarity with UMTS standards and associated test requirements (OBW,SEM,ACLR,EVM,etc)
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment: Network Analyzers viz., PNA series, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Pulse Generators, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to design and debug RF bench level test setups. Must be familiar with common RF components and their suppliers.
- Good excel capabilities and familiarity with excel scripts, .csv and .mdf formats.
- Solid knowledge in electronics; analog, power and digital.
- Knowledge of Quality Control principles and methodology is an asset.
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical reasoning and problem solving.
- Experience in developing test instructions and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience working with Offshore Manufacturing partners and understanding of requirements to efficiently develop and transfer high volume products from engineering to production in a timely manner.
- Infrequent travel may be required.
- Ability to use sound judgment when representing the Company, operate as part of a team and collaborate with others while taking initiative.
- Must foster a professional attitude with a sense of humor and demonstrate integrity and flexibility.
