no cRio target in Project Explorer

I try to target my cRIO9002 Controller in the Project Explorer of LV. But in the list I cannot find it. There are no cRIO-Devices listed. But in MAX I can find it. Which additional driver must I install? I have installed NI-RIO21 but that performs no change in the list.

Thanks.

What version of LabVIEW do you have?  I believe NI-RIO 2.1 only supports LabVIEW 7.1.x through 8.2.x.

I use LV 9.0f2. I have searched abouts the WebSite of NI and cannot found a newer Version of NI-Rio.

PS

I have often difficulties to find software on the NI-site.

If you search for NI-RIO on ni.com, within the first 5 hits you will find a link to the latest NI-RIO version, which is currently NI-RIO 3.3.0.

I hope this helps,

I have installed all Software I have found. On the device ist installed NI-RIO 3.3 and on the host-computer also. But for  installing new targets and devices I found only cRIO 91xx and no 90xx which I have used (cRIO9002).

It sounds like you're pretty new to cRIO, so you might want to go through the getting started manual.  I think what you did was try to add the 9002 to "My Computer" in your project.  For network devices, like the 9002, you want to add it by right clicking on the very top item in the project called "Project: <name of project>" and selecting New>>Targets and Devices...

Hi

Im having the same problem. It might sound funny, but when i right click project>>New>> I dont see "targets and devices"! am i missing something? I have an evaluation version. also could you tell me is the FPGA module included in the evaluation version? I tried downloading the FPGA module evaluation and it linked to the LABVIEW evaluation download. so im guessing it must be included. HOWEVER, when i try to search for FPGA MODULE in LABVIEW HELP i do not get any relevant result at all!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Rajesh
