how to automatic detection of 3 or 4 wire rtd type

hi all,

I am doing a project with NI 9217 device  and try to measure temperature with RTD senser,

as I read at NI website this module can be automatic detect 3 or 4 wire RTD type ( read this link: https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/model/ni-9217.html ) 

but i do not know how to config and program to do this function

anyone can help me to make it clealy

As you said... It is automatic so just hook up your RTD according to the diagram in the manual.  If it is 4 wire then the current is supplied via EX+, if it is 3 wire then RTD+ is used.

The only setup option that I am aware of is the sample rate of the module which can be set to 200ms or 2 ms.  200ms will give you much better filtering against 50/60 hz noise.

If you look on page 8 of the manual (https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/374187f/resource/374187f.pdf) there is a description of what is meant by autodetect.
