What happend when the measure is outside the set range ?

Hello

Im acquiring Volts from Daq setting the range to min- max, suppose i made a mistake and the actual result was out of the range, what suppose to happened ? When i do it i still get the right result i mean the result isnt cut by the set range (like happened with the previous device we used).

My guess is that the range is automatically set to the max range decreasing my resolution but its only a guess.

Hello Sharon,

What NI hardware are you using to acquire your data? Is it an M-Series device? Or perhaps FieldPoint? What was the previous device you were using? This might help explain the differences in behavior.
