Hi all,
I'd like to use the cRIO 9038 USB device port (the USB-B type connector) to act as a third ethernet interface. The reason for this is that I have the first Ethernet RJ-45 port to connect to the machine's outside network, the second Ethernet Rj-45 port to control an EtherCAT network. I'd like to have a third network interface to connect to second, machine-internal ethernet network. I can see through MAX that it's recognized as a third NIC by the cRIO. The manual say's it's intended for maintenance use but is there anything preventing me from just setting it to static and using it as a general Ethernet port?
