TCP/IP CRIO

Solved!
Go to solution

Is it possible to read data straight from a crio chassis without having real time on the computer with the reader? The person who installed the tcp/ip program had real time on his laptop, but the GUI we made on a separate computer without realtime installed needs to read the data.  It will work when his laptop is hooked up to the second ethernet port but the address won't ping when he disconnects his laptop.  I was wondering if it is required to have real time installed to communicate with the crio over tcp/ip?

Thanks,

Colt

If you have two applications using the TCP/IP or Network Stream functions in LabVIEW, no RT is needed on the PC side.

You might just need to enable the second port.
