Synchronization using timestamp

Hi everyone,

 I'm using 9205 module with 9191 chassis (wireless) and also use 9401 module with 9171 chassis (USB).

I need to synchronize between them, and understand that it's not possible since they are independent 

My question is, if I can use the initial timestamp which always appear in the TDMS root file. (in the excel), for knowing when the modules acquire data at the same time. (I use the same sampling rate for both modules).

That won't be exact because each unit is going to have its own timing clock which will drift past each other.
