NI-MAX Scales issue

Hi,

I created scales for the first time to use them in my channels. I created a few, mainly linear scales that range from 10/-10 to 300/0. However, I'm unsure if I'm using the Signal Input Range correctly. My input is 10/-10V, and with the scale change to 300/0bar. The issue is that I'm manually adjusting the Signal Input Range to 300/0, but I'm uncertain if this is the correct approach.

What I want to know if there is a way to read the 300/0 without changing manually the Signal Input Range, I think if I am creating a custom scale to scale from 10 to 300, manually changing the input range is wrong, but I am not sure.
