LabView not finding chassis

Hi everyone,

I am using NI cRIO-9082, and have installed LabVIEW 2019 f2, LabVIEW Real-Time 2019, and compactRIO 19.0 on computer. I am able to connect to the controller and install Real-Time 2019 to the controller in NI MAX, but when I try to add Targets and Devices in LabVIEW, Real-Time compactRIO does not even show up in the list of devices. Can you let me know how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks.

Hi JustinZZJ,

Is your CRIO and computer on the same subnet? If not, then you need to change the ip on the device so that they are in the same subnet.

Also you can try to add a device by its ip.

If this does not solve your problem, please describe the problem in more detail ...

Thank you very much for your reply.

I managed to solve this problem by installing cRIO driver 19.5 instead of 19.0 and also added the device by its IP (somehow it is not automatically discoverable).

Thanks again!

You can try to repair your software with NI Package Manager. Perhaps this will solve the automatically discovering issue

Good luck
