Is it possible to boot cRIO from the USB drive?

A customer tells me that it is possible to set up cRIO-9014 to boot from a USB memory stick instead of the internal flash memory...is this true and if so how is it done? I can see the possibility of specifying a different directory for the startup app, but is that all - or can you load the whole OS from the u-drive as well?

The goal is to be able to fix problems with the unit by replacing the USB memory stick though, so there is no app running that can do the reload.

Currently it is not possible to boot a cRIO-9014 controller directly from a USB memory device. This feature has been requested multiple times and is something we are researching.
