Event Structure on custom device on remote RT-Desktop.

Hello,

I´m working right now on a Custom Device that will run in a remote desktop RT with NI Real-Time Phar Lap ETS 13.1. The CD will be deployed from a host pc. Will the CD have accesse to the host´s front panel interaction in this set up?.

It depends on the host-target communication. I guess they are connected by TCP/IP? In this case, one option is to use Networked Shared variables. Keep in mind however, that you will be getting real-time information only if the the network is deterministic. Also be prepared, that your monitoring rate on the host will be limited, since data have to be dispayed on a front panel, including interaction.

Advise: send the data you need for interaction with a slower rate to your host. The real-time target can still run at a high speed and perform calculations (and even log data in real time).
