DI driver 9751-Injection control

I am using 9751 DI driver for controlling my solenoid type injector in a test-bench. Now i want to control that injector based on Cam  and Crank signals. In NI Power train control manuals, they wrote like 

This input should be wired from a digital input channel of a NI 9411 Differential Digital Input module or a NI 9752 Automotive AD Combo Module.

My doubt is can I use other C series digital modules like NI 9403 which i have currently. Thanks in advance
