Speaker: William Holway (Staff Software Engineer, Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company)
A lot has been published about the incredible advances achieved by trading in traditional task-oriented computing for systems that can learn and adapt to better perform their key functions. In both the aerospace/defense and commercial industries, these intelligent cognitive systems are growing in use and capability. But how do you thoroughly test a system that by definition changes how it performs and interacts with the environment during operation? You do it by using a software-defined, modular test platform that can generate different scenarios in real time. At this session, explore how to test cognitive systems using PXI and user-accessible FPGA instrumentation with graphical system design for algorithm development.
