Abstract: Learn about a curriculum redesign for a two-semester mechanical engineering course on systems, measurements, and control at Purdue University. The goal was to restructure and better integrate the lab component with the theoretical fundamental concepts. Students learn about both closed- and open-loop dynamic systems in a new way using myRIO, which enables students to become systems designers as they learn the value a programmable embedded device can add to the problem-solving process.
