VGA driver (or chip) for PXI 8176

The hard drive on this controller died.  I replaced it without difficulty, and am rebuilding the software.  I've installed Windows 2000 (SP4), and notice that it is using the "generic" VGA driver.  What chipset does this controller use?  I'd like to get a better VGA driver that has 32-bit color and higher resolution than 800 x 600.

Bob--

I looked at the product manual for the NI 8171 Series User Manual.   Page twelve indicates that the NI 8171 series includes three configurations: the NI 8176, NI 8175, and NI 8174.  I also located a peripheral drivers page for the NI 8171 Series Controller.  If you download the zip file for the 8171 graphics adaptor (win2kgraphics.zip), you will see a readme.txt that indicates the graphics driver for Intel(R) 810/810E/815/815E/815EM chipsets.  If you enter the ftp download site, you can see that the 815E chipset is also specifically noted.

Cheers!

Hi Bob,

I think it uses an Intel 815 chipset.

I saw a Win2000 driver here, but haven't verified it.

Let me know if that works out. If you have trouble, I'll dig around a little more.
