Using PMC cards in PXI Chassis - PMC Adapter cards

If the hardware manufacturer supplies LV drivers for their PMC board, what steps are needed to integrate the PMC card into a PXI chassis using a PMC to cPCI adapter as detailed on http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3105#toc3 in the Introduction to Share Memory section?

Curtiss Wright is only offering their SCRAMNet GT cards in PCI, PMC, and VME form factors at this time.  They do list having drivers for LabVIEW for the GT cards.

I am really wondering what it would take to get the PMC card to work in a PXI chassis.  Curtis Wright does sell the PMA-C PMC-cPCI adapter that would allow the PMC card to be used in the PXI Chassis http://www.cwcembedded.com/products/0/1/125.html

Hi RVallieu,

It sounds like the cPCI-PMC convertor is transparent and should act just as though the PMC card was a PXI card with this convertor, but it wouldn't hurt to speak to the manufacturer, Curtis Wright, for any questions you have there.  Hope this helps!
