Simulating NI PXIe-1065 Chassis on the Desktop PC

Solved!
Go to solution

I am using NI-PXIe-1065 chassis. The controller is PXIe-8840. I am installed 2 PXI-6509 and 2 PXIe-6738 Cards. My query is about NI hardware Simulation. I want to simulate the above Hardware configuration in another Desktop PC. I have installed NI MAX V18.0. However, when i select the option of Simulated NI-DAQmx Devices, there is no mention of PXIe-1065 chassis in the list. Kindly guide me how to simulate the PXIe-1065 Chassis in the Desktop PC.

Are all software versions consistent between both of your computers?

Hello,

It is not possible to truly simulate any PXIe chassis. Any PXI(e) cards able to be simulated may be done so without the use of a simulated Chassis.

If you need to access the backplane of the chassis for some reason, you can follow the instructions here (note that the 1065 is not an option with this method however):
