PXIe-8840 controller doesn't boot

We have a PXIe-1078 chassis that has been working with a PXIe-8840 controller until recently. Now it does not want to boot (nothing show up on the display). There is no signal from the controller to the monitor. The "PWR OK/ FAUL" led is solid green. If I put in another PXIe-8840 in the PXIe-1078, it works fine. Any ideas as to what may have gone wrong with the PXIe-8840?
