I am having an issue with trying to see a PXI chassis on the network and being able to communicate to it via a remote computer. The PXI Chassis is PXI-1092 and the controller is PXIe-8840. The system is up and running and shows up on MAX version 19 when we remote log into it. I have an issue when we try and show it on a remote server on the same network. We also have two cDAQ chassis that do come up on the network on both the server and PXI chassis thru MAX. I thought that if the ethernet port was connected on the 8840 it would show up on the network and would be accessible to the remote server, this has not been the case. Should I be able to communicate with the 8840 thru ethernet like the cDAQ devices?
I'm guessing its a IP Configuration issue, we are using a switch with assigned IP's for each device.
