We are using a PXI-1042 with a variety of different cards to run/control/measure on a dilution refrigerator. The issue just started to occur this week. No change was made to the system or software. The magnet is controlled by a PXI-2503 card with TB-2605 front. As I ramp the magnet up to high field, the power button on the PXI will begin to flash red and the field will stop increasing. The first time this happens, it happens at high field. If I turn the system off and back on, it will immediately flash red. If I leave it off for a while, it will turn back on but will eventually conk out at a much lower field. And while this seems like it could be an overheating issue, the fans and filters have been cleaned and the power supply reseated. The fan is set to high. This issue is repeatable. Any suggestions??

Hello, asutton!
It is possible that your power supply is in need of repair. When the voltage output requirements are not being met on the board, it can cuase the LED to flash red, as you saw.
A good thing to check to confirm this is to measure the voltage lines on the back of the chassis, and compare to what you should actually be seeing from each. Try this with just the controller in the chassis, as well as with other cards and observe the behavior of the voltage. If the supply is indeed out of spec, you can to send it in to us for repair.
Please let me know the results of these troubleshooting steps, and we can go from there.
Thanks!
