PMSM control system setup and difference between cRIO controller and cRIO chassis

Hi, I plan to make the setup to control 4 PMSM motors (two incremental encoder motors and two SPI absolute encoder motors) using cRIO.

The MCU is Ti LAUNCHXL-F28069M and the motor driver is BOOSTXL-DRV8301

Since LAUNCHXL-F28069M board supports the CAN communication, I plan to use it as a slave to control the motor

The overview of the system design would be

PC - CrioChassis(NI9149) - CAN module1 (NI9853)  - LAUNCHXL-F28069M -Motor1

                                                                                    - LAUNCHXL-F28069M -Motor2

                                          - CAN module2 (NI9853)  - LAUNCHXL-F28069M -Motor3

                                                                                    - LAUNCHXL-F28069M -Motor4

I'm wondering if this system would work.

Another question is what is the main difference between the cRIO controller and cRIO chassis?

Based on my understanding, the cRIO controller has the CPU and it can control the motor without any host PC but the cRIO chassis requires the host PC.

Then, if I use the host PC with cRIO Chassis, is there any disadvantage or worse things compared to just using the cRIO controller?

I appreciate your help!

Best regards,
