Does NI PXI-8361 have problems with XP service pack 3?

Hi,

I recently updated my windows PC and installed some anti virus programs (Norton Symantec).

But now when I boot my PC, I'm stuck in the applying computer settings screen. We first thought the issue would be somewhere else because the PXI is not used yet.

However, if we disconnect the PXI-8361 controller the PC boots in about 10 minutes (still slow but atleast I get too my password screen).

In the past we had other issues with the PC and the pxi, the PC on a BIOS level did not recognize the 8361 controller so I had to installed : NI MXI-Express BIOS Compatibility Software 1.3

http://ftp.ni.com/support/softlib/PXI/MXIe%20Compatibility%20Software/1.3/readme.html

My guess is that the service pack 3 and my PCI card for the 8361 controller are in conflict. But I can not just remove the PCI card because then I would not be able to communicate with the PXI.

Some help on this issue would be appreciated!

Regards,

Stieve

When I detach my Ethernet cable from my PC, the PC gets to the password screen but still takes a long time beyond that to set-up.

So obviously these 2 are in conflict with each other, can somebody tell me what could be the cause of this ?
