display a Labview front panel called from Teststand

How do you display a Labview front panel when it is called from Teststand. I want the user to set certain parameters ( switches in the Labview GUI) then hit "OK", which closes Labview and returns to Teststand. I've tried the "show vi front panel when called" in the specify module selection but it doesn't seem to work.

Hi Clint,

What you have done is all you need to do.

I've attached a some example LabVIEW6.1 VI and TS2.01f1 sequence file.

Thanks Ray ! Especially for the quick response. Yours works fine. I don't know what I'm doing wrong with mine. I get this really quick flash which I think is the Labview front panel opening then closing before I get a chance to do anything. I'll keep trying. Again, Thanks!

Have you looked at your VI properties for Window Appearance? Under "Customize..." I check the boxes for "Window is Modal", "Show Front Panel When Called", and "Close Afterwards if Originally Closed".

When you upgrade to LV 6.1, check out the event structure as a nice way to capture mouse/keyboard input.

Hi Clint,

No problem.

Have you tried putting a breakpoint on the step and stepping into the labview VI to find out whats going on.

Check your stop conditions are correct for your while loop. Maybe its only doing one iteration.
