Hi All,
I would like to clarify if I need license for the following case:
TestStand 2014 uses VIs developed in LabView 2014.
This system with both licenses loads VIs without error.
There is another new machine with the same configuration with TestStand 2014 licensed and LabView used as run-time only - not licenced.
Do I need LabView license to enable automation server? If yes, which one is required?
Here is the error:
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
In order to run LabVIEW VI's you won't require a LabVIEW license unless you are using any of the toolkit's listed under Separate Deployment License. I'd suggest you take a look over the article: Error -18001 or -18002: LabVIEW Error in TestStand to see if these steps resolve the issue!
Good luck!
Alice

Thank you Alice,
One thing to mention. Everything worked fine while LabView was under trial license (was extended up to 45 days),.
Unfortunately, once it expired it no longer works.
I am no longer able to open LabView as well - no license.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
In which case can you check that the correct version of LabVIEW Run Time Engine installed on the target computer?
It is also worth looking at the LabVIEW Adapter Configuration in TestStand to check the correct version of Run Time is selected. The article: Deploying LabVIEW Code Modules with NI TestStand talks you through all the configuration you need to run deployed LabVIEW code modules in TestStand, including the adapters which are linked to the licensing of the set-up.
Thanks,
Alice

Hi Alice,
The last link helped me sort out the issue. On other machine it was set to development system.
Had to change for run-time for new one.
Many thanks for help
Mike
