Hi,
I have a front panel that I am trying to localize using the Teststand Localize Front Panel VI in LabVIEW. I have noticed that if a control caption is not visible, the control's tip strip will not be updated. Is this the expected behavior? It is kind of inconvenient because the fact that the caption is not visible does not mean that the tip strip does not need to be localized.
It is very easy to reproduce. Drop a numeric on the front panel. Define 2 labels beginning with TS_ for the caption and the tip strip. Hide the caption. Define those labels in the CustomStrings.ini and run the VI. The labels will not be localized. Make the caption visible and run the VI again. This time the strings are localized.
I am using TestStand 4.2.1.
Thanks,
Erin

Hi Erin,
Could you please post your CustomStrings.ini file in order to see how the labels have been defined? I'll try to reproduce the described behaviour, do I just have to run the VI? On te contrary, must TS call the VI?
