TestStand DotNet adapter?

I would like to have TestStand make calls to DotNet assemblies. Is there a
plan to support DotNet components? Will TestStand be able to create
components from the global assembly cache? If yes, does anyone know when it
will be released?

Thanks,

Aaron

Aaron -
We are planning to support .NET components in an upcoming release, but I cannot give you any specific feature or data information. In the mean time .NET components can be called using the Active X Automation adapter assuming that the .NET component exposes an interop interface to COM.

Hi Aaron,

That's a really good question. We've had many customers make the request for TestStand to incorporate .Net components and we have noted their requests. Unfortunately, I cannot give any specifics regarding integration in future versions of TestStand.

To find out more about the next release of TestStand and the components that it might include, you can sign up for the TestStand Beta program. If you are interested in helping with our Beta program for the next release of TestStand, you can visit www.ni.com/ask and send an email with your information requesting to participate in the TestStand Beta program.

For now, if you'd like to call .NET components from TestStand, you can always create a wrapper class around the .NET
component and call it from TestStand using the DLL Flexible Prototype Adapter.

Hope that helps!
