Status of the step.

How to change the step status from failed to skipped directly into the pass/fail step? I would like to get passed or skipped status. Thaks for earlier.

Hi,

The pass/fail step has a fixed Status Expression that will generate a Step Status of "Passed" or "Failed" if the step is executed or if the mode run as been set to Skip then the engine will set the step status to "Skipped".

I guess you are excuting the step but still want to indicate Skipped for some reason.

One possible solution would be to generate a custom Pass/Fail Steptype and change the Status Expression to 'Step.Result.PassFail ? "Passed": "Skipped"'.

Another solution would be to use the SequenceFilePostStepFailure Override Callback. Check for PassFailStep type then set the Status from Failed to Skipped. See Attached example.

These are just two solutions.

Hope this helps
