Programmatically changing default value

Hello,

I use a vi in one step of TS which has default value, let's say 10, and I am not allowed to change this vi at all. However, I want to change the default value from 10 to 100. Is it possible to make another vi which does the trick? For example an action step which does the trick before the step with value of 10? I hope you understand my explanation 🙂

BR,
Jick

HI,

I dont know if it is working during runtime,

but i would access the LabView-Adapter and try to change...

in this thread there is an example that shows how to work with it.

Is this value a control?  What's wrong with just passing in the proper value?

It is a string control. I want to do it for safety reasons. If programmer forgets to change the value she/he could break an expensive system.
