NI 6353 DAQ Hardware support

I am new for NI-DAQ.

We have recently purchase NI-DAQ for Test executions.

I would like to know about the series resistor calculation for DIO Pins of DAQ.

I am using STM32F777ZI series microcontroller on my PCB.

I wanted to check Digital input is generated from Microcontroller and want to read through DAQ.

I am not able to configure how much resistor i need to place between Test pad and NI DAQ Digital input pin.

I have attached image for example.

I am giving signal 3.3V (High) from controller, same signal i want to read via DAQ.

How much resistor we need to place between DAQ and F168 (Test points)?

Hi,

First....This is the wrong forum in whichyou have asked question. This forum is specific for TestStand software.

I think you want to check the status of the digital output of the controller.

You can directly connect to the Digital input pin of the NI DAQ DIO.Resistor not required.

Alternatively you can also directly connect to the Analog input pin if you need to see the waveforms of your digital pin.

Hope this helps.

Hi Ravi,

Thanks.

Yes.. I wanted to check the status of Controller Output.

Are you sure it is correct mechanism to connect directly to Pin?

I am worried about current source and sink of both devices (Microcontroller and DAQ).

Please reply with Rationale (Datasheet reference or something similar) for confidence.

Hi,

The above knowledge base link should give you an idea of the interface to NI DIO cards.
