LabView Operator Interface for TestStand not working in XP.

The only way I can get the LabView Operator Interface for TestStand to work is to give the operator administrator rights on the WindowsXp machine. Normal, Restricted, or Power User did not work.

How go I get it to work without giving the operator full access to the system?

Hi,

When you say that your LabVIEW OI doesn't work, what do you exactly mean? Do you get an error upon launching it? (which one?) Does it launch correctly but you get errors when running a sequence?

This error might be related to the DCOM permission settings in your machine (have you tried it on another machine?). There are some knowledgebases that might help you solve your problem:

1) KB 2KE7MOY6: "Errors when Trying to Run a Sequence on a Remote Windows XP"
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/3efedde4322fef19862567740067f3cc/7b756326ba031e2686256b9c004b6539?OpenDocument
(Even though this KB refers to a remote executions, the solution offered might help you)

2) KB 2HTB9NVW: "Cannot Execute My TestStand Sequences when Logged in as a Non-Administrat
or on Windows NT"

3) KB 1Q0CGHSR: "-18001 Errors When Using TestStand and LabVIEW"
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/3efedde4322fef19862567740067f3cc/55574cb4e0f326df862567fd0077e303?OpenDocument

Let us know if this helped you.
