while reviewing my post and the above thread, I noticed that the talk was about using notification steps in TestStand (not between LabVIEW and TestStand).

There is an example of a sequence using those steps in <TestStand>\Examples\Notifications , which you might check.

You can also look up some information about the step types in Synchronization step types topic in TestStand help.

Thanks for your replies.

I checked the files you'd suggested.

In my case the notification needs to wait until any of the user interface's buttons pushed, so i try to figure out how to use notification in this case.
