Hi there,
I wanted to use FAN7080_GF085 for driving MOSFETs but could not find it in the library of Multisim 13. I downloaded a spice model from Fairchild, which is a .lib file, and added it into a user library.
In the attachment you can find the model of FAN7080 and also a test simulation that I wrote for testing if the customized drive works in Multisim. Unfortunately I got errors when I tried to run it – ‘SPICE Netlist Error in schematic RefDes’. Do anyone have any idea about this? Mistake in importing or translating the .lib file or anything else?
FYI, the .lib file has been uploaded as a text file in the post.
Thank you in advance!

Hi there,
This .lib file is encrypted that Multisim cannot recognize. Some PSpice Models like this one can be only be decoded by other software.
One method is to ask fairchild if they have a readable Spice model to download. Another way to solve this problem is that you can replace this FAN7080 component to other half-bridge gate drivers like LT1158, LM5104 or L6390 etc.

Hi Chen_T,
Thanks for your suggestions, but unfortunately I couldn't find the Spice models for LT1158 or L6390 either. Since I might need a supply voltage of upto 20V, LM5104 seems unaffordable. May I ask if you happen to have the Spice models of the ones that you suggested?
Best regards,

Hi wliiii,
I've checked our database and found one might be OK for your Power converter applications. It's called MAX5064AATC+ and it has Spice Model already built within.
Attached is the datasheet for this Half-Bridage MOSFET Drivers.
Hope it helps.
