Wrong magnitude and phase value results

Solved!
Go to solution

I am trying to add two voltage phasors and get the wrong results when simulated on Multisim utilizing the single frequency AC analysis. I have changed the AC analysis magnitudes of both sources to their respective values of 20 and 15 volts. The expected result of the addition should be magnitude = 25 volts peak and phase = 66.87 degrees which does not match Multisim results. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you in advance.

You have to double click on the volage source V1 and V2 and in the "AC magnitude" and "AC magnitude Phase", change the settings.

Also, depending on your preference, select Options Global Preference Simulation, at time = 0 if you want the phase shift to shift right or left,  you can set it up in here.  This setting will affect your phase calculation.
