Where can I download Service Pack 2 for Multisim 2001?

Hello,

I have just installed Multisim 2001 Professional on a Windows XP machine and have come across this article:

There apparently was a couple of service packs released for Multisim 2001, which unfortunately, I can't locate anywhere on the NI website.

Service Pack 2 for Multisim 2001 and Ultiboard 2001, Professional and Powerpro versions, are now available free of charge. Electronics Workbench is currently shipping Service Pack 2 to all registered users who request it by calling 1-800-263-5552. Two questions:

• Was Service pack 2 the most up-to-date service pack for Multisim 2001?
• Where can I download the file(s) from?

i believe sp4 was the last for 2001

Thank you for your reply. I'm also asking the company we purchased Multisim from. They might know if there's any way I can get hold of a Service Pack (after all, they sent us the multisim upgrade CD to 2001 when that came out).

If anyone else is interested, I'll update this thread with my findings.

Mhhh... still stuck!

The company we bough Multisim from stopped selling the software years ago.

Back to square one, does anyone know how/where I can get hold of the latest service pack for Multisim2001? Hopefully NI will chime in...

Dear Forum users,

thank you all for your help. I've resolved the issue by getting in touch with NI support (via email). They were very helpful and created a temporary file on their FTP server for me to download (almost 200MB!).

The last service pack released for Multisim 2001 was Service Pack 2.

Issue was solved in only a couple of days. For an obsolete product, released years ago and before EWB was bought by NI, this is pretty good going! Thanks again.

that is unusual since we are running service pack 3 here.  I'm sorry I'm late in replying, I was wondering if it was possible for them to do a bit more leg work to see if they can get you that copy.

Mhhh...

That's interesting. What does your multisim say when you press ctrl-alt-v? Mine now says version 6.70. It said v6.50 when I first installed the 2001 CD.

Not sure which of the service packs came as a free upgrade, though. We originally bought 6.2 and Multisim2001 itself came to us as a free upgrade CD when it came out...

Hey Chris, can you verify that you got that About message from Multisim?, to my understanding Multisim 2001 Commercial was only available up to SP2. The SP3 that you are referring to seems to me that is the Ultiboard update, not Multisim.

Let me know, otherwise we'll need to open some boxes from the warehouse 😃

That capture IS the about window in UB.  My applogies, I forgot that this is two seperate packages......MS 2001 was SP2 at the most.....UB was SP3
