Very Basic Question - AC Signal or Funct Generator?

I am a student learning the basics and simulating basic vacuum tube fundementals.  Should I use the AC Voltage Signal somponent or the Fucntion Generator as the source to provide a 455Khz signal?  Also when I used the AC Voltage source and grounded it I received an error " Connecting 'Power to Bidirectional'; .  I have a DC source for the plate voltage so how do I have isolated grounds?  My model seemed to worki correctly in spite of this error, at least viewing the Oscilloscope tracing and gain factor seemed right.

Hi,

You can use either one. The AC voltage source allows you to configure the RMS value whereas the Function Generator allows you to set the peak voltage.

I dont really understand the second question. Can you please upload your circuit so we can take a look at it.
